Selection Process: What Happens After PET

1. PET (Tier 1): The 100-mark screening exam covered above. Your normalized PET score is what matters, not just your raw score – UPSSSC applies a normalization formula when the exam is held across multiple shifts.
2. Main Examination / Skill Test / Physical Test (Tier 2): Once UPSSSC advertises a specific post (say, Lekhpal or VDO), only candidates with a valid PET score can apply. Depending on the post, this stage may be a written Main Exam, a typing/stenography skill test, or a physical measurement/efficiency test.
3. Document Verification (DV): Shortlisted candidates undergo document verification, after which the final merit list and appointment process follow.
