The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC), Lucknow has released Advertisement No. 19-Pariksha/2026 inviting online applications for the Junior Engineer (Agriculture) Mains Examination (PSAP-2025)/19, for recruitment to 134 posts of Junior Engineer under the Directorate of Agriculture, Uttar Pradesh. Only candidates who appeared in the Preliminary Eligibility Test-2025 (PET-2025) and hold a valid PET score card are eligible to apply for this mains exam. Eligibility Criteria

Shortlisting for Mains Exam

• Shortlisting of candidates for this Mains Examination will be done category-wise, based on the normalised PET-2025 score, in order of merit.
• Candidates will be shortlisted up to 15 times the total number of vacancies advertised, category-wise, including all candidates tied at the final cutoff score (up to 2 decimal places).
• Candidates who scored zero or a negative absolute/normalised score in PET-2025 will not be shortlisted for the Mains Exam.
• Candidates whose PET-2025 result is marked “Under Investigation (UI)” or “Provisional” by the Commission may conditionally apply for the Mains Exam; their shortlisting and selection will remain subject to the outcome of the Commission’s inquiry.

Exam Pattern

• The exam will be a single objective-type, multiple-choice question paper of 2 hours (120 minutes) duration.
• Each question carries 1 mark.
• Negative marking of 25% (one-fourth) of the marks allotted to a question applies for every wrong answer.

How to Fill UPSSSC Junior Engineer (Agriculture) Mains Exam Online Form

1. Visit the official UPSSSC website – upsssc.gov.in.
2. Go to the “Live Advertisement Segment” on the homepage and click on the relevant advertisement to view or download it.
3. Log in using your PET-2025 registration number, authenticated via OTP sent to your registered mobile number/e-mail.
4. Your personal details (name, parents’ names, category, EWS status, horizontal reservation details, date of birth, gender, marital status, contact details) recorded at PET-2025 will be auto-displayed.
5. Fill in the details related to the essential qualification (educational) as prescribed in the advertisement – board/institute/university name, year of passing, certificate/roll number, and marks.
6. Enter the verification code and click “Submit” to generate your application form with an 11-digit registration number; print and keep a copy.
7. View your PET-2025 photo and signature (auto-populated; cannot be changed) and click “Continue”.
8. Select Yes/No for any preferential qualification, then review your declaration, tick the checkbox, enter the verification code, and click “Save and Submit”.
9. Pay the prescribed fee through Credit Card/Debit Card/Internet Banking/UPI or SBI E-Challan as per the instructions on the website.
10. Once the fee payment/reconciliation is successful, your application form will be auto-submitted; download and print it for your records.

Documents Required

• High School (10th) certificate/mark sheet as proof of date of birth and qualification
• 3-year Diploma in Agricultural Engineering certificate (or AICTE-equivalent diploma) with marksheets
• PET-2025 registration number and score card
• Category certificate (SC/ST/OBC) in the prescribed UP format, if claiming reservation
• EWS certificate valid for financial year 2026-27, issued between 01/04/2026 and 07/10/2026, if applying under the EWS category
• Disability certificate in the prescribed Form-I/II/III/IV, if applying under the PWD category
• Dependents of Freedom Fighter certificate, if applicable
• Territorial Army service certificate or NCC ‘B’ Certificate, if claiming preferential qualification

Important Notes

• Application submission and fee payment must both be completed by 07 October 2026. No application or fee will be accepted after this date.
• An applicant’s printout will not be available until the deposited fee has been reconciled by the bank. Candidates must ensure fee reconciliation is completed by 07 October 2026, or at the latest within 7 days of that date, i.e. by 14 October 2026. Application details can also be modified within this extended window.
• If payment is made but the application is not showing as submitted, candidates should use the “Update Your Transaction ID by Double Verification” option under the Applicant Segment on the Commission’s website, log in with their registration number, and click “Verify Transaction ID”.
• If the fee payment fails, a Payment Acknowledgement Receipt (PAR) will be shown instead of the application form; candidates must then use the same “Update Your Transaction ID by Double Verification” and “Application Fee Deposition” options to complete payment.
• Candidates must download and print their application form only after successful fee payment and reconciliation – this printout must be produced later during document verification if demanded.
• Application details can only be modified until the correction deadline of 14 October 2026; no modification or representation will be entertained after this date.
• The Commission does not correspond individually with candidates – all updates are published on the official website, which candidates should check regularly.
• The number of vacancies is provisional and may increase or decrease as per requirements from the concerned department.
