UP DElEd 2026 Online Counselling – Choice Filling & Seat Allotment Schedule

With the UP DElEd 2026 state merit rank released, the Examination Regulatory Authority, Uttar Pradesh, Prayagraj, has opened online counselling for admission to the 2-Year D.El.Ed (Diploma in Elementary Education) course, as per the official notice dated 7 August 2026. Counselling runs in rank-based slabs – candidates with a better (lower-numbered) state rank get access to choice filling first.

UP DElEd 2026 Latest Update – 8 September: Phase 2 counselling is underway. Eligible reserved/ special reservation category candidates from Uttar Pradesh and candidates from other states can complete institute choice filling until 10 September 2026. Institute allotment for this stage is scheduled for 11 September 2026.

Phase 1 Counselling

The official 7 August 2026 notice organises counselling into rounds. The rank-wise schedule below – covering ranks 1 to 1,52,202 – is what the notice refers to as Phase 1.

These dates come from the official counselling schedule. The first Phase 2 window runs through 10 September, followed by allotment on 11 September; the notice also provides a second choice-filling window from 11–15 September and allotment on 16 September.

Who Can Participate in UP DElEd Phase 2 Choice Filling?

For the current Phase 2 choice-filling window ending on 10 September 2026, the official portal specifically asks Uttar Pradesh candidates belonging to reserved/special reservation categories and candidates from other states to complete their institute choices.

The official schedule covers candidates within State Rank 1 to 1,52,202, subject to the eligibility and allotment conditions prescribed for the respective Phase 2 window.

How to Fill and Lock Your Institute Choices

1. Log in to updeled.gov.in using your registration credentials once your rank slab’s window opens
2. Pay the ₹5,000 allotment fee online – this is mandatory before you can access choice filling
3. Browse available training institutes and check seat availability for your category
4. Select and arrange your preferred institutes in order of priority – list as many choices as you’re genuinely willing to accept, since allotment follows your listed order strictly
5. Review your choices carefully, then submit and lock them before your slab’s deadline
6. Wait for the institute allotment result on the scheduled allotment date

A locked choice generally cannot be freely changed afterward, so double-check institute names, categories, and order before final submission.

Counselling Fees

• Allotment Fee: ₹5,000, payable online before institute choice filling. Candidates should note that this fee is not refunded under the circumstances specified in the official counselling guidelines, including certain cases of non-admission or failure to complete the admission process.
• Confirmation Fee: ₹5,000, payable after institute allotment. After successful payment, candidates can print their Allotment Letter.

The combined ₹10,000 (Allotment Fee + Confirmation Fee) is adjusted against the training fee for candidates who go on to take admission.

Seat Allotment Process

Seat allotment is processed according to the candidate’s state rank, applicable category/reservation rules, available seats, and the preference order of institutes submitted during choice filling.

What Happens After Seat Allotment

Once an institute is allotted, candidates typically need to:

1. Pay the ₹5,000 confirmation fee to lock the allotted seat
2. Download and print the seat allotment/admission letter from the portal after the confirmation fee is paid
3. Report to the allotted training institute for document verification and admission, carrying the Allotment Letter and all required original educational, identity, category/reservation and domicile documents, as applicable
4. Complete document verification at the institute to finalise admission

Candidates allotted an institute in this round must complete institute reporting, document verification and admission between 17 and 31 August 2026, up to 6:00 PM. The allotted institute is required to complete the online reporting/locking process by 1 September 2026.

What Candidates Should Carry?

Candidates who do not receive an allotment may participate in subsequent eligible counselling stages against vacant seats. Candidates who do receive an allotment but choose not to confirm or take admission should carefully check the official rules first: the ₹5,000 allotment fee already paid is generally not refunded in this situation, and a further ₹5,000 payment may be required to participate again in a later stage.
