After You Clear UPTET
- You get a lifetime-valid Teacher Eligibility Certificate – a Paper 1 pass qualifies you for Primary Teacher posts, a Paper 2 pass for Upper Primary posts, and clearing both gets you separate certificates for each.
- Candidates who already hold a certificate from an earlier UPTET cycle (2019, 2022, etc.) keep it – there’s no requirement to re-appear, though you can retake UPTET to try improving your score.
- The certificate itself doesn’t guarantee a job – you still need to apply and clear a separate recruitment exam, most notably Super TET, conducted by UPBEB for Assistant Teacher posts. As of this writing, Super TET 2026 has not been notified yet.
